How is salvation provided

His arms are open to all who accept his invitation. The problem is that people choose to go their own way, violate God's instructions and are therefore separated from God. There is a great price for our sin, eternal separation from God. The good news is that God provided the answer through Jesus. When He died in our place he paid that price for our sin that we could not. He made the way for us to receive salvation.

The presentation of a free salvation by the Gospel to sinners, as such, warrants any man, and every man, to embrace it, and leaves the rejector without excuse. Sinners will not come to Jesus and be saved — this is criminal, and the result is inevitable damnation. But that the special end of the death of Christ may be accomplished, and the Savior see of the travail of his soul, the Father has given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as he had given him. Being lifted up, he effectually draws all them unto him, from every place and every period.

And in the certainty of their salvation he rejoiced, saying, "All whom the Father gives me — shall come to me; and him that comes I will certainly not cast out. So also, when the Jews manifested their obstinacy, he told them he was not disappointed, saying, "No man can come to me — unless the Father who has sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. The Father chose his people to salvation before time, and gave them to his beloved Son.

He sent his Son into the world to be the atoning sacrifice for their sins, and that they might live through Him. He teaches them according to his promise, and every one that is taught of the Father comes to the Son.

To put it another way, he sends the Holy Spirit to accompany the preaching of His Word, and as many as are ordained to eternal life, believe. Thus, all whom he predestined, or eternally loved — he effectually calls; all whom he effectually calls — he justifies; and all whom he justifies — he glorifies. The Father in his love chose them to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all people that dwell on the face of the earth.

The Son redeemed them by his blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Thus they are saved, not by works of righteousness — but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and the renewing of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in the Scriptures ,"it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs — but of God that shows mercy. Salvation is to be published and presented to sinners, to sinners of every class and climate.

Salvation is to be obtained without money and without price. Any sinner who hears the gospel may be saved; will be saved, if he believes — God's Word guarantees this.

Therefore, without unscripturally saying that God's saving love is universal, that Christ died for all alike and equally, and that the Spirit is given alike to all alike — we publish a full and free salvation for whoever will; assuring every one that is willing, that that is the proof of his personal interest in the blessing, because none are willing to be saved by Christ — until God makes them so, in the day of his power.

It means to accept, or receive, Christ as both Lord and Savior. Thus, one will be brought to confess Him as such Rom. It is thus that one is regenerated, declared righteous as justified before God. But it is not the end of the Christian experience. It is the beginning.

First John was written to Christian people 1 John to Corinthian Christians did not always act saintly. Thereafter, he should grow, develop and serve in the state of sanctification Heb.

This idea is inherent in both the new birth and adoption. Sanctification is a work of the Holy Spirit Rom. But as sanctified vessels, they should seek to abstain from evil. The Christian life is the sanctified life. The glory of the Gospel is that souls are regenerated. For that which God has purchased in Christ He will keep in Him. And He will glorify it in heaven, meaning the final resurrection of the body Rom.

It should be noted that the Christian is heir to the privileges of sonship but also to the sufferings of the same Rom. The glory infinitely will outweigh the suffering v. But the Bible does teach degrees of reward in heaven and punishment in hell Matt.

All the regenerated will be saved in heaven. Each will enjoy heaven to the full degree of his capacity. But that capacity will be determined by our growth and service in and for Christ while on earth. The Salvation God Provides How we can be saved from sin by grace through faith. Learn more. After you get saved, God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and this is where you will go to work for God into whatever your calling is going to be in Him. But to initially receive the gift of eternal salvation from God the Father is simply done by having faith and belief in Jesus Christ and what He personally did for you with His death on the cross.

Here are the verses:. The Bible specifically tells us in that last verse that all men and all women have sinned and have fallen way short of the glory of our God. As a result, none of our fleshly works, no matter how good we think they may be, will ever be good enough to get us into heaven or back into the good graces of our Lord and Savior. Once you become saved and born again by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, the Bible says that we are now made perfectly righteous before the eyes of God.

The righteousness of Jesus has now been imputed to us. This means that we are now free to approach the throne of God for intimate prayer and communication, and when we die, we will all go straight to heaven. Even though we will continue to commit sin from time to time, God will always forgive us as long as we properly confess each sin when it does happen.

We will never become totally sinless or perfect. No one will ever become the fourth person of the Holy Trinity. Humans and angels are not! The Bible says that all men have sinned and will continue to sin, and thus will fall way short of the glory of our God. That is why Jesus had to come and die for all of our sins — which will include all of the past sins that we have ever committed, all of the present sins we are now committing, and all of the future sins that we will ever commit.

As a result of Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins, God the Father now sees all of us as righteous and justified before His very eyes — now and for all of eternity, even though we are all still sinners! Here are two very powerful verses showing us that we have now all been made perfectly righteous and perfectly justified before God the Father as a result of Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins.

So not only do we get a full pardon and a full remission for all of our sins, but we now get to be made perfectly righteous before God the Father Himself. This acceptance of Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior must be confessed out loud before God the Father. It does not have to be done in a church. This can happen to anyone at anytime at any place.

Here are three specific verses showing all of the above points. Notice the last verse says to confess with your mouth, and with the mouth confession is made to receive salvation. This means just saying a good, basic, salvation prayer out loud direct to God the Father from your heart. Below is a good, basic, salvation prayer to give to someone who wants to get saved by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Either title will work. I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world.

I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life. I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive Me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross.

I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with Me for all of eternity. All of the above are what I call the basics to understanding what eternal salvation through Jesus Christ is really all about. I will be doing other articles on what it really means to be born again, as this comes off the story of Adam and Eve.

I will show you how God the Father will set people up, and why every Christian needs to be open and sensitive to letting God, through the Holy Spirit, direct you as to who you should witness to and exactly how to go about it. Now that your are saved, God wants you to become a fisherman for Him. All of the above Scripture verses will give you major, live, ammunition to use when trying to get someone saved.

The Holy Spirit will really move on someone if you stay with His leadings as to when to witness to that someone and exactly how to go about it. To bring a person into that incredible reality after they die is the greatest thing you can do for another human being! I do not believe there is any other accomplishment that will bring about as much fulfillment as this one act will do.

I will leave you with 16 very good verses from the Bible showing you the extreme importance on God being able to use each and every one of us to get other people saved in this life. If you believe the Holy Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of our God, then there is absolutely no other interpretation or spin that you can put on the above verses.
